St. Petersburg, Florida- St. Pete police originally received the 911 call this morning to 2211 Anastasia Way South as a suicide. A few hours later they had a confession and the arrest of 18 year old Larry Reed for the second degree murder of his pregnant girlfriend. Anastasia Boyd, 24, recently learned she was 4 months pregnant, according to her family.
Boyd was a young single mother of two daughters 6 and 3 years old.

"She wasn't happy (pregnancy). She said mom this is it," says Elaine Speights, Boyd's mother.
"You have 2 beautiful daughters you do not need to go through this with someone that has no job, who does nothing. For him to take my daughter's life that's crazy," says Speights.
Boyd's says she never like Reed,  "Something about him I didn't like from the beginning" Call it mother's intuition but Speights says that bad feeling led Boyd to the emergency room earlier this year. Boyd's mother says Reed physically abused her daughter," I didn't are for him for no man that lays a hand on a woman."
Even though Speights says she banned Reed from her home and didn't approve of her daughter's relationship they still saw each other. The last time was Wednesday morning. Police say a dispute between Boyd and Reed at his home about the unborn child led to the shooting. Boyd was shot in the chest.
Our camera captured paramedics rushing Boyd into the ambulance as they tried to revive her giving her CPR.
Reed's neighbor and childhood friend Joshua Whitlock, 19, says he's shocked Reed is facing murder charges. "Larry is a private person he's not a bad kid. I know Larry wouldn't do this.' Whitlock say he had seen Boyd at Reed's home several times before but did not know she was pregnant. He adds the guy he grew up with is "not violent."
Now Boyd's mother is faced with the burden of explaining to her two grand daughters their mother is not coming home.
A tearful Speights says about her daughter, "She was very loving, very beautiful, glowing a loving mother."
