St. Petersburg, Florida - Latedra Everett's life was not easy.

The 18-year-old had two parents in prison.  She was being raised by her great aunt.

But, she never gave up.

The girl with the winning smile was a computer whiz and couldn't wait to graduate from Boca Ciega High School.

"We didn't expect this to happen," says her cousin, Fred Everett. "We wanted her to have a full life."

His great aunt, Corine Barber, said, "TeTe was a wonderful child."

On Saturday, September 25, 2010, TeTe's life changed forever.

That night around 10:30 p.m., witnesses say there was a group of people listening to music outside a house at 638 26th Avenue South.

Everett had just arrived at the home and gotten out of a car when someone drove by and began shooting.

TeTe fell to the ground, and her family believes she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Another person was also shot.

Jacquez Wallace, 21, who lives at the house, was wounded. Police say Wallace has been arrested in the past on drug charges.

Investigators are trying to figure out exactly what happened.

Detective Rodney Tower said,  "Here she is, just in the front yard talking to someone, and she ends up being gunned down, not easy to being with, family to deal with that."

If you know who killed TeTe, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.

There's a reward of up to $1,000.
