Tampa, Florida -- A high school teacher from Hillsborough County who's accused of keeping a storehouse of child porn at his home faces losing his job.

School board members will decide whether to fire David Valesano, Jr. at their meeting in Downtown Tampa at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

But he won't be there to argue his case because he's facing even more charges.

Since Valesano was first booked into the Hillsborough County Jail two weeks ago, investigators have upped the total number of charges he faces.

At the time, a judge was openly furious with Valesano, with the judge listing one-by-one all 20 counts of child porn possession facing the Newsome High School math teacher.

Since then, investigators have decided to seek many more charges, raising the number to 125 separate counts of possessing child pornography.

Valesano's bond is now set at more than $1 million. He's facing up to 15 years in prison.

Plus, there's the likelihood of being fired from the school system Tuesday during the school board's 5 p.m. meeting.

The 50-year-old Newsome High School math teacher was taken into custody two weeks ago after a two-month investigation by the sheriff's online predators unit.

Detectives seized four computers and several storage devices from his home in Brandon. They say they found images downloaded from the Internet showing children as young as eight involved in sex acts.

The Hillsborough County school district tells us Valesano came to Newsome High in the Lithia-FishHawk Ranch area in 2003.

In line with school district policy, he was placed on paid leave until the school board meeting Tuesday, when board members will decide his fate.
