ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (AP) - Police are hoping the release of new details in the decade-old fatal stabbing of a St. Petersburg woman will prompt someone to come forward with information that could lead to an arrest.

The Tampa Bay Times reports the family of Patricia Gertsch Hodges noticed jewelry missing shortly after she was found dead on April 18, 2002. Police believe the killer may have taken a necklace and ring with the phrase "No. 1 Mom" or "No. 1 Grandma."

It's a detail police released in hopes of solving the case.

Police say thanks to improvements in DNA technology, they have a "viable suspect" but they need someone to come forward with information.

Anyone with information is asked to call St. Petersburg police.
