NEW PORT RICHEY, Florida (AP) - A Tampa Bay man already serving a life sentence for injuring someone during an armed robbery has been given another 30 years for a fatal nightclub shooting.

A Pasco County judge sentenced 23-year-old John Quincy Singleton on Monday after he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

Authorities say 28-year-old Irving Watts Jr. was trying to break up a fight at Club Nocturnal in May 2010 when Singleton shot him.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that another man, then-17-year-old Craig Fowler, was injured.
