Second person dies of injuries in St. Pete hit-and-run

St. Petersburg, Florida -- A man hospitalized in a hit-and-run on Coffee Pot Boulevard on Jan. 25 died of his injuries Wednesday, according to police officials.

Roger Wurr, 71, had been at Bayfront Medical Center battling with life threatening injuries he sustained when he was hit, along with Gloria Mastell who died at the scene, while walking along the sea wall in the 1900 block of Coffee Pot Boulevard.

Police later arrested Timothy Deacon at his home and charged him with one count DUI manslaughter in Mastell's death and leaving the scene of a crash involving death. 

After Wurr's passing today, police have added another DUI manslaughter count to his charges.
