Tampa, Florida -- A man was convicted of raping and robbing an elderly woman less than a month after he was released from jail.
52-year-old Joseph Frye was found guilty Wednesday of raping and robbing a 65-year-old Seminole Heights woman in 2009.

Frye, who was previously convicted of rape, had been incarcerated for failing to register as a sex offender and was released on August 1st of that year. Authorities say he assaulted and robbed the victim on August 28.
After his conviction, the judge sentenced Frye to four consecutive life sentences.
