Spring Hill, FL-- Hernando County deputies have arrested a former assisted living employee and her boyfriend after the woman reportedly stole an entire cart of medication and controlled substances from the facility early Monday morning.

It was approximately 4 a.m. when deputies were called to the Forest Oaks of Spring Hill assisted living facility regarding the stolen meds.

Reports say the on-site supervisor explained that an entire medication cart, last filled with meds around 1 a.m., had been removed from the "A-wing" of the facility.

As the supervisor searched for the cart, another employee mentioned having seen the former employee, 34-year-old Jennifer Aman, in the parking lot around 2:30 a.m.

The Resident Care Director previously ordered Aman to stay off the property indefinitely, reports say.

Officials were able to narrow in on Aman as a suspect almost immediately, considering the "time frame of [her] visit, as well as her knowledge of, and familiarity with the facility," explains a report.

Detectives went to her home and found her and her boyfriend, 33-year-old Darren Smith, in possession of the medication cart and the medication.

Both Aman and Smith were charged with Burglary, Trafficking in Hydrocodone, and Possession of Xanax.

They were taken to the Hernando County Detention Center where they are each being held on a $535,000 bond.
