Here's the original story:
Brandon, Florida -- A man is fighting for his life at a Tampa Hospital after he was hit by a pickup truck while skateboarding on a Brandon road early Thursday morning.
Deputies say around 12 a.m., Ronald Cineas hit 29-year-old Jonathan Redding as he changed lanes from the right lane to the right turn lane on Providence Road at the Providence Ridge Boulevard intersection. Redding was on his skateboard in the road near the bike lane when Cineas hit him. Cineas then fled without trying to help or calling 911.

A witness called police after they saw Cineas covering up the damage to his windshield nearby and gave them a description. Cineas, 29, then reportedly got on his bicycle and starting riding down Providence Ridge Boulevard where he was seen by a deputy and arrested.
Deputies say Cineas admitted to hitting something while driving on Providence Road. He was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash with serious injury and driving while on a suspended license.
Redding was rushed to Tampa General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
