Bradenton, Florida -- The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is investigating two drive-by shootings.
The first occured just before midnight at a duplex on 60th Avenue Terrace W in Bradenton. Four men were standing outside when deputies say the occupants inside a maroon or black Grand Marquis or Chevrolet Impala drove by and started shooting at the men.
One person was grazed by a bullet. Several bullets hit the house where four children, ages 2-9, were sleeping inside in a front bedroom. One of the bullets went through that bedroom wall, about a foot away from where the children were sleeping.
A few hours later at 2:30, a deputy patrolling the area of 57th Avenue and 15th Street East heard eight gunshots and discovered several bullet casings on the road in front of 1400 57th Avenue Drive East. The home had several bullet holes.
No one was injured and the people inside the home were asleep, unaware about what had happened.
Two adults and two children were inside that home. Several rounds went through the walls of the home. One person inside the house tells 10 News one of the bullets hit one foot away from where he was sleeping.
The Manatee County Sheriff's Office does not know if the shootings are connected.
