Tampa, FL-- Two suspects, said to be armed with a shotgun and a rifle, are on the loose after allegedly shooting two victims outside of their home early Wednesday morning.
According to reports, it was around 2 a.m. when 39-year-old Roberto Anderson decided to take his dog for a walk. He had just returned home from Charpal's bar off of Busch Blvd. and 40th St.
Once he stepped outside, he reportedly saw one of the suspects standing by his front door, pointing a rifle at him.
That's when officials say Anderson got into a struggle with the suspect over the rifle, and ended up getting shot in the right index finger, thigh and groin area.
Anderson told deputies that he heard several gunshots being fired as he struggled with the suspect, so he fled from his residence in an attempt to get away, and again, heard several more gunshots.
He said he saw a second armed suspect standing by a vehicle outside the residence.
Christi Anderson, the other resident of the home, was inside when she heard the shots fired.
Reports say she walked outside to see what was happening, and as she exited her residence, an individual armed with a what appeared to be a shotgun, fired at her, and struck her in the leg with buckshot.
Though their injuries were reportedly not life-threatening, both victims were transported to St. Joseph's Hospital.
