Tampa, Florida -- Tampa Police are searching for at least two suspects involved in smash and grabs at a food mart and AT&T store in South Tampa.

Tampa Police tell us they were first called out to the S&S Food Mart on South Henderson at around 1:54 a.m. when an alarm went off at the store.

Witnesses say the suspects had driven their pick up truck through the front doors to get inside the store in an attempt to break open the ATM machine in the back. They were not successful.

While police were investigating the S&S burglary, police believe it's possible the same suspects tried to break into the AT&T store at Dale Mabry and Henderson at 3:15. It's believed they took a brick from the S&S store to try and smash through the doors of the AT&T store, but the doors and windows are hurricane proof. The suspects were once again unsuccessful.

The owner of S&S Food Mart did not want to talk on camera, but says this is the third time his store has been hit in the three years he has owned the store. He says the so-called "Cigarette Bandit" broke into his store twice earlier this year.

Police tell 10 News they have surveillance video of the suspects from both locations.

The truck was recovered six blocks way from the AT&T store and was determined to be stolen.

One of the suspects is described as a thin, black male, standing 5'8, weighing 150 pounds. He was seen wearing dark basketball shorts, a two toned hoodie, white tennis shoes and a mask.

The second suspect is described as a heavier set  black male standing at about 5'10, weighing about 280 pounds. He was seen wearing black shorts, a white t-shirt, black tennis shoes and gloves. He was also wearing a white t-shirt around his face as a mask, but it fell off during one of the burglary attempts.
