New Port Richey, Florida -- Pasco County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a man who attacked and robbed two women in New Port Richey on Aug. 26.

Authorities say around 12:40 p.m., the man approached a server on a smoke break behind the Central Park Family Restaurant on SR 54 and demanded her money. The two struggled over the server's apron which was ripped off of her and stolen, along with her tip money, after he punched her in the stomach.

Then around 3:55 p.m., the man forcibly took a purse from a 73-year-old woman at Sunset Bay Apartments in the 7300 Kauai Loop. During the incident, the man pushed the woman down, causing her hip to break. The sheriff's office says the woman remains in the hospital for her injuries.

The man is described as a white male, 20-25 years old, about 5'8" tall, 160 lbs., with a fair complexion, scruffy beard, dark brown hair, light blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown T-shirt, brown and blue baseball cap and oversized blue jean shorts.

Anyone with any information about either of these cases or the suspect is asked to contact the Pasco Sheriff's Office at 727-844-7711 or leave an anonymous tip on our website at
