MELBOURNE, Fla. (AP) - A Florida woman has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for killing and dismembering a former Massachusetts police officer.
Dianne Parker pleaded no contest to second-degree murder. She was sentenced Friday.
Authorities said Parker killed 62-year-old Paul Cadigan over a business dispute at her massage parlor. The former officer's torso was found in the woods in 2009, with his head and limbs removed. Florida Today reports that police found a serrated knife in the kitchen sink and three bullet holes in the massage room.
Police uncovered a website she created about two years before killing Cadigan that helped people get even with their enemies.
Parker was initially charged with first-degree premeditated murder and abusing a dead body.
