Bradenton, Florida -- A woman involved in a robbery at a Bradenton home died at the hospital after she was shot by a deputy Wednesday night.
The sheriff's office says the deputy shot at the car Joanna Ann Mojica was driving after she refused to stop and headed right for deputies while attempting to flee the scene.
Mojica, 26, was taken to Blake Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The other suspect with Mojica, 26-year-old Jesse Flores, was arrested and charged with Felony Murder, 2 counts of Attempted Murder, and Burglary.
Found inside the car was a large flat screen TV they stole form the home in the 900 block of 66th Ave. W.
The deputy who shot Mojica has been put on routine administrative leave pending an investigation into the incident. Preliminary information shows the deputy the use of deadly force was justified.
