Englewood, Florida -- A Postal Service employee was arrested for allegedly choking an 11-year-old boy with a cord during a church service.
The sheriff's office says the boy told his mother he was attacked by Justin Reber on May 6 while they were working the controls in the audio-visual room during a service at the Suncoast Worship Center in Englewood.
The boy said Reber came up behind him and wrapped an Ethernet cord around his neck and choked him until he lost consciousness. The boy said when he woke, Reber apologized for his actions.
Reber, 25, was arrested Thursday and is being charged with Aggravated Child Abuse.
Detectives are asking anyone who has information about Reber, or incidents similar to this one, to call Criminal Investigations at 941-861-1719.
