PORT CHARLOTTE, Florida (WINK) - Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies say they arrested a woman involved in an early morning fight at a Port Charlotte Denny's Restaurant.
Deputies were in the restaurant parking lot at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday when they heard someone yell that there was a fight inside. The deputies went in and saw several people huddled around a back corner booth, yelling struggling with each other.
Witnesses told deputies an argument began among several patrons and a fistfight erupted between the victim and 21-year-old Zalmanda Lata Macias. The 23-year-old victim was bleeding profusely and taken to an area hospital with multiple head injuries.
Macias was handcuffed and charged with felony Aggravated Battery Causing Bodily Harm, Disorderly Conduct, and was issued a Trespassing Warning.
Detectives went to the hospital and learned the victim has a broken nose, fracture to her cheek bones and stitches above her left eye.
Macias was transported to the Charlotte County Jail where she remains on no bond; this is her third booking.
