Tarpon Springs, Florida -- The victims in the deadly crash on U.S. 19 and MLK over the weekend have been identified.
Tarpon Springs Police say the driver of the 2-door, silver Mercedes SLK 230 found in the retention pond was 37-year-old Nicholas Osborn. Osborn was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the car. His body was found next to one of the downed power lines with wires all over him.
The passenger in the car was identified as 39-year-old Marco Valez of Clearwater.
Investigators say witnesses told them the white vehicle seen leaving the scene had been racing with the victims' car. Police do not have any additional information on the white vehicle at this time.
