Seminole, Florida -- Pinellas County deputies are investigating an accidental shooting involving a 14-year-old.
The shooting happened at a home on 134th Way N. in Seminole.
According to detectives, the victim and a 16-year-old friend went to the friend's home after baseball practice Sunday afternoon. While they were in the house, the 16-year-old reportedly showed the 14-year-old a .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle. While he was showing the rifle, he accidentally shot the 14-year-old in the abdomen.
The 14-year-old was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
No adults were home at the time of the incident. No charges will be filed against the teen who shot the gun.
