Tampa, Florida-- Speaking to a packed audience at the Ambassadors of Christ Temple of Prayer facility on East Humphrey Street in Tampa, one by one, teens took to the podium.

About a dozen young people, expressed their opinions on what went wrong at this year's Florida State Fair, at the Hillsborough County NAACP community meeting. This year, a dozen teens were arrested, and nearly 100, kicked out for fighting at the fair.

"We should have, like more protection and security," said one shy high-schooler.

Another mumbled, "More police officers, and more parents".

Many suggest a problem with a free admission day for students. Something one teen says is too harsh.

"You shouldn't be allowed to go after a certain time without a parent. They should be allowed to go during the day, because not a lot of trouble happens during the day. I don't think it had to do with not enough police."

As for the Hillsborough Sheriff, David Gee, the answer, isn't with more police either. He says, it starts with getting the community together.

"We'll have a discussion before the fair starts next year. [We're ] going to have a lot of principals out there, a lot of deans, and  have coaches and community leaders.  Kids won't be able to operate under the façade of anonymity next year."

Church and NAACP leaders also handed out surveys for audience members to fill out.  Asking what they think went wrong, and what should be done to curb the violence.  All in hopes of making for a peaceful fair, next year.
