Cows escape and run along Tarpon Avenue in Tarpon Springs

Tarpon Springs, Florida -- Three cows broke out of their pen and ran down Tarpon Avenue until they were eventually stopped by police.

The Tarpon Springs Police Department began to receive calls about cows running around southbound US 19 around 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The cows broke out of their pen on a farm located on North Jasmine. 

Police worked with the cows' owners to corral them as they ran down Tarpon Avenue. All three were captured safely within an hour.
