Video: Adopt a pet on the go in Pasco

Pasco County, Florida-- Adoptable pets are hitting the road to find forever-homes in Pasco County.

The group "Friends of Animals" showed off its new mobile adoption center, called "Tail Wagon",  to county commissioners Tuesday morning.

Animals Services hopes this will make pet adoptions more convenient for Pasco residents.

"We are located in remote location where we're at," said Animal Services' Mike Shumate of their shelter on Dog Patch Lane. "This is a great opportunity to service the other parts of the county who may not be able to make it over to the shelter."

Nicknamed MAV, the "Wagon Tail" can hold up to 15 animals. It's equipped with air conditioning and heat to keep the pets comfortable during their journey.
