Wesley Chapel, Florida -- A Wesley Chapel High School student was arrested for filing a false police report and disrupting school functions.

On Friday, the Pasco Sheriff's Office responded to Wesley Chapel High School after a freshmen girl reported an injury to her upper body. The injury was described as superficial, and non-life threatening and the school was put on lockdown for less than an hour.

During the investigation it was determined that there was no credible threat to students and the stories provided by the female victim were suspect and inconsistent. Eventually, the student admitted that she made up the story.

She was transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center after being arrested on misdemeanor charges.
