Florida District 13 Republican primary election to replace the late Congressman C.W. Bill Young

Pinellas County, FL - Republicans in Pinellas County are heading to the polls on Tuesday, to vote on their pick to fill the seat of late Congressman C.W. "Bill" Young.

The three GOP candidates are:

  • Mark Bircher, a retired Marine Corps general
  • David Jolly, former lobbyist and counsel for Bill Young
  • Kathleen Peters, a current State Representative

The winner will face Democratic candidate Alex Sink and Libertarian candidate Lucas Overby in the general election coming up in March. District 13 covers much of densely populated Pinellas County.

Polls close at 7 p.m.
