Tampa, Florida - A Tampa firefighter sustained minor injuries while putting out a house fire in Seminole Heights.
Around 11:30 p.m. on December 19, Tampa firefighters were dispatched to a home on North Tampa Street for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival crews found a 2-story home engulfed in flames with fire shooting 40 to 50 feet in the air.
Crews began to extinguish the fire and firefighter made entry into the home for an interior attack. While performing ground operations, one firefighter sustained minor injuries and required transport to the hospital by ambulance for evaluation.
The fire took about an hour to control and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
