Tampa, Florida -- Tampa Police are searching for the person who shot at two teen girls, and hit one in the leg, as they walked home from a football game Friday night.

Police say the 15- and 16-year-old girls were walking east on San Miguel Street when a vehicle stopped next to them. The suspect rolled down his window, made a statement and pointed the gun at them.

The girls ran and the suspect fired a round which hit the 16-year-old girl on the lower left leg. She was taken to a local hospital where she continues to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male between 20-30 years old, possibly wearing a red shirt. He had a black ski mask on his head, but not covering his face. He was clean shaven and had a chubby face. Authorities say he was driving a black, 4-door vehicle with dark tinted windows.

If anyone has information or may have seen the vehicle last evening, please call 813-231-6130 or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
