9 treated for heat exposure at Spoto High School

Riverview, Florida -- Hillsborough County Fire Rescue treated nine students at Spoto High School in Riverview for heat exposure on Saturday.

Over 300 students from 18 different schools were participating in a ROTC competition at Spoto's football field, according to Hillsborough Co. Fire Rescue.

Fire Rescue says the nine students were suffering from dehydration, nausea, and heat cramps. Four of them were taken to the hospital; the other five were released to their parents.
