Florida's top charity regulation will push for sweeping reforms

St. Petersburg, Florida -- Adam Putnam says he will push for sweeping reforms to stop charities that spend their money on professional solicitors instead of the actual charity. 

The Tampa Bay Times reported that Adam Putnam, state commissioner of agriculture and consumer service, says his decision was prompted by the yearlong investigation made by the times. 

Putnam will ask state lawmakers to support a series of changes that could have a serious impact on Florida nonprofits.
