WASHINGTON (AP) - The health care law's contraceptive coverage mandate remains in effect despite the Obama administration's one-year delay in requiring companies with more than 50 full-time employees to provide insurance.

Kyle Duncan, general counsel for the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, says the birth control and employer mandates are separate, and the administration continues to maintain that for-profit businesses have no religious rights.

Duncan says Hobby Lobby and other businesses whose owners have religious objections to contraceptive coverage will continue to pursue their cases in court. Several of those businesses, including Hobby Lobby, have won injunctions blocking enforcement of the birth control mandate while their cases proceed.
