Clearwater Beach, Florida - A tip led police to two teens who egged more than a dozen cars on the north end beach early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. and was reported to the police, along with information on a possible suspect vehicle. A patrol officer spotted the vehicle and apprehended the pair, police said.

"The two subjects tossing the eggs were 19-year-olds celebrating the birthday of one," said police spokesman Rob Shaw. "More than a dozen cars were affected, none with any permanent damage."

He said no charges were filed in the case because "there was no property damage as such."
