Holiday, Florida -- Deputies say a 23-year-old man cleaned out his father's home of electronics and lawn equipment and pawned the items for cash.
Pasco Sheriff's deputies say Thomas McEachern, Jr. stole his dad's items from the home they share in just under a month's time:
- 2 Microsoft Xbox 360 games
- 8 Blu-Ray movies
- Black and Decker circular saw
- Chicago sawzall
- Sears belt sander
- Craftsman blower
- Nintendo Wii
- Apple IA5 Radio
- True Tech DVD player
- Nintendo Game Boy
- Craftsman 12-piece wrench set
- Magnavox Blu-Ray player
- Kodak C1550 Digital Camera
- Apple 8GB iPod
- 5 Xbox 360 games and 2 Wii games
- 1 Xbox controller
McEachern then sporadically took the items to the Holiday Cash-N-Go pawn shop where he hocked the items with a total value of over $1,300 for a total of $380.
When he was interviewed by detectives they say he told them he stole the items so he could get money to support his drug habit.
He has been charged with 24 counts of dealing in stolen property, grand theft and three counts false verification of ownership.
