Tampa, FL - According to Tampa Fire Rescue, crews showed up to the house shortly before midnight.

The flames erupted on the second floor of this two-story wood frame rooming house. Fire rescue officials say it took firefighters 30 minutes to get the blaze under control.

The family of three was on the second floor when the flames broke out.  One of the little girls in the house was able to alert her parents of the fire. Her quick thinking helped her and her family make their way through a smokey room to get out.

We're told two other men living in the house were also able to safely make it out.

Rescue crews say the family was taken to Tampa General for smoke inhalation.

Everyone who lived here is now staying with family members - because of all the damage from this fire.

Fire investigators have determined the cause of the fire was electrical in nature. Total damages estimated at $35,000.

The home did not have any working smoke detectors.
