Mulberry, Florida-- "It was a horrific crash, one that should have never happened. Three are deceased because Ed McCoy chose to drink and drive," said Sheriff Grady Judd last Sunday.
Now, 21-year-old McCoy has reportedly been arrested for the accident.
Polk County Sheriff's deputies say McCoy was drunk when he ran a stop sign early Sunday morning at the intersection of Coronet Road and Sheppard Road in Mulberry.
They say he sideswiped another car, and the impact of the crash flipped both of the vehicles.
Three of the four people inside the Sebring were killed. One of them was a Polk County school bus driver.
McCoy faces a number of charges, including three counts of DUI causing death.
