Video: 3 people survive plane crash near Zephyrhills

Three people walked away with only minor injuries when their small plane crashed seven miles north of Zephyrhills.


ZEPHYRHILLS, Florida - A small plane crashed seven miles north
of Zephyrhills over the weekend. Fortunately, the three people on board walked away with only minor injuries, according to Pasco County officials.

Pasco County Fire Rescue and the Pasco Sheriff's Office rushed to the crash site near 12944 Johnson Street in Dade City around 6:11 p.m. Saturday.

The pilot reportedly called Tampa International Airport to say he had engine trouble before crashing. Another pilot flew over the wreckage and found the plane upside down in a cow pasture.

The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the cause of the crash.
