Tampa, Florida -- University of South Florida officials have announced a planned protest involving individuals promoting their support of those with concealed weapons permits being allowed to carry concealed weapons while on campus.
The school says its police department has been made aware of the protest which will include individuals wearing empty holsters on top of their clothing.
The protest is planned take place at the school's Tampa campus during the week of April 8-12.
Community members should expect to see individuals wearing empty holsters throughout campus and may encounter individuals handing out literature regarding their cause.
