Weapons, police items stolen from unmarked cop car...again

Pinellas Park, Florida -- Less than two days after a police car was stolen and ditched in a lake minus the firearms stored in its trunk, Pinellas Sheriff's detectives say this isn't the first time.

Detectives are asking for the public's help identifying the suspect or suspects who stole weapons and other police items from an unmarked Sheriff's vehicle sometime between 5 p.m. on March 11 and 7 a.m. on March 12.

The stolen items included a Glock-model magazines, a tactical flashlight, a Bench Mark knife, a set of Smith and Wesson handcuffs, and a radio holder. In addition, a black nylon duty belt with handcuff case, expandable baton and holder, and a magazine pouch were taken.

A black tri-fold leather wallet with a silver Sheriff's star badge and two agency credentials were also stolen.
