Tampa, Florida -- Hillsborough Sheriff's detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for the man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of Osh Williams outside the Snack Attack Food Store in Northeast Tampa Sunday.
Detectives say a witness told them 22-year-old Rodney Speights went to the store to confront and fight Williams as retribution for a fight Williams had been in the day before on March 23.
On surveillance video taken from the scene of the incident, Speights was seen walking up to Williams and engaging him in conversation. He was then seen shooting Williams multiple times with what was later determined to be a .40-caliber semi-automatic handgun.
Williams was hit multiple times and died shortly after at the scene. Speights was identified by witnesses from the surveillance video.
On March 28, Rodney Dejontae Speights turned himself in at Orient Road Jail around 6:30 p.m. Speights was charged with murder in the first degree in the death of Osh Williams.
