Forecast: Cold front swings through the area

The front is now crossing the area with clouds, showers and patchy drizzle behind the rain.  The thickest clouds are over us now, but will break up somewhat this afternoon allowing a little sunshine in.

Behind the front, gusty northwest winds will usher in cooler and drier air for Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday. A gradual warming trend will begin Friday afternoon into the weekend.

Tuesday Showers ending as patchy drizzle, then some sun breaking gout later.   Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70. Winds NW 10 to 20 mph. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 72. North wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 48. North wind around 11 mph.

Thursday Sunny, with a high near 69. North wind around 11 mph.

Thursday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 45. North wind around 9 mph.
