Six tangerine trees stolen out of Winter Haven

Winter Haven, Florida -- Winter Haven Police are asking for the public's help locating the person or persons responsible for stealing six seedless tangerine trees sometime over the past week.

Police say on Feb. 9 around 2:15 p.m., the victim discovered the six trees, valued at $1,000, were missing from property located along Hwy 653 in Winter Haven.

The trees, which are a special variety not normally found in this area, were planted in a location surrounded by other groves and vacant land, only accessible by four-wheel drive or specialty vehicles.  The last time the trees were seen on the property was on the afternoon of Feb. 3.
