Sarasota, Florida -- An injured sea turtle has found a permanent home at the Aquarium at Mote Marine Laboratory.

The juvenile Kemp's ridley named Caleb was rescued in November near Ormond Beach. In most cases, rescued sea turtles are returned to the wild, but Caleb can't swim well and must remain in captivity.

Caleb is the first Kemp's ridley, considered the most endangered sea turtle species on Earth, to become a permanent resident in Mote's sea turtle exhibit.
