Seffner, FL-- Hillsborough County Deputies arrested the man who they say is responsible for a murder that took place back in July of 2012.
According to officials, the body of 60-year-old Stevie Means was found in a vacant field near Pine Street and Homerville Lane on the evening of July 1.
Means' body, found fully clothed with a "'crack' pipe" in his mouth, had suffered "upper body trauma", and an autopsy revealed homicidal violence to be his cause of death, reports say.
After six months of working the case, officials were able to pin 46-year-old David Choppa to the crime. They arrested him on Friday, January 4, and charged him with Second Degree Murder, Tampering with Evidence and Petit Theft.
