When they arrived at the scene, police found the woman who called police outside the home. She told police she called 911 because her 30-year-old son, Hiram Daniels, was acting erratic and has a history of mental issues.
Police considered him armed and suicidal. After numerous attempts to reach him were unsuccessful, SWAT went inside but Daniels was not there. They say he may have slipped out before they arrived at the scene.
Detectives have reportedly been in contact with Daniels' attorney. Daniels will be placed into a facility for observation.
