Forecast: Cold Overnight; Sunny & Cool Thursday

Following the passage of Wednesday's cold front, Temps will tumble into Thursday morning.  A few isolated locations on the Nature Coast could drop to freezing (32) degrees for a few hours.  Most of the Tampa Bay Metro area will see lows in the mid 40's, while coastal and southern zones will be a bit more mild, with readings in the upper 40's and low 50's.

High pressure building into the region will result in sunny skies, northerly winds, and highs in the low to mid 60's on Thursday.  Temps will begin to warm on Friday as our winds shift to the east and southeast, with daytime highs back in the 70's.  On Saturday, another cold front will move through the region, bringing a 50% chance of showers and storms.

Overnight Mostly clear, with a low around 44.  Northwest winds from 5 - 10 mph.

Thursday Sunny, with a high near 63. North wind 6 to 8 mph.

Friday Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. East northeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming south southeast in the afternoon.

Saturday A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. South southeast wind 11 to 16 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph.

Saturday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. West wind 10 to 14 mph becoming north after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Sunday Sunny, with a high near 66. North northeast wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 51.

Monday Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.

Monday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 58.

New Year's Day Mostly sunny, with a high near 75.
