Winter arrived noth officially and figuratively today with the solstice and the cold air. This afternoon will be sunny but blustery with temperatures now falling from near 60 through the 50s into the low 40s. There will be plenty of 30s tomorrow morning and there is a Freeze Warning for Pasco northward. Be sure to bring in the pets and protect any tender vegetation you want to save.
It will be a little warmer each day this weekend with highs 62 & 64, but each morning starts cold. In fact, with lighter winds I think Sunday morning will be the coldest and we will likely have more freeze warnings over a potentially larger region.
We warm up towards Christmas with 70s as early as Monday.
Today: Sunny this afternoon but chilly with falling temperatures through the 50s. Winds will be brisk NW 15-25 mph.
Tonight: Freeze Warning for Pasco northward. Skies will be clear with lows 28-32 in the warning area, generally 33-40 elsewhere with the warmest temperatures near the water.
Saturday: A sunny but chilly day with highs in the low 60s. Winds will decrease and turn to the N at 10 mph. A Freeze Watch is in effect for Pasco northward for Saturday night, but I will be watching this closely as it may be be changed to include more areas as it will be colder by Sunday morning.
Sunday: Sunny skies and a bit warmer with highs in the mid 60s. Winds will be NE 10 mph.
