Get ready for a show in the skies!

Forecasters say the peak time to see a meteor shower overnight is between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m.

The Geminid Meteor Shower is made up of pieces of debris from an extinct comet, and should be visible from some areas through December 16.

Meterologist Kate Wentzel says Thursday night and early Friday morning may not be an ideal time for viewing in Tampa Bay because of the cloud coverage.

You can check out to see a live Ustream feed of the Geminid shower.
