Brandon, Florida -- Hillsborough County Sheriff's detectives are investigating three separate thefts of gaming systems that all occurred at a Brandon Kmart by the same person.
The three incidents are described below:
1. On Nov. 9, around 5:11 p.m., the man walked into the store on West Brandon Boulevard and while the clerk was distracted, removed the Xbox from the register counter and left the store through the garden section.
2. On Nov. 12, around 12:47 p.m., the same man asked the clerk for a Playstation 3. When the employee put the gaming system on the register counter, the man then asked for a game. When the clerk turned around to get the game, the suspect grabbed the Playstation 3 and left the store, again through the garden section.
3. On Nov. 27, around 10:06 a.m., the man asked the clerk for a Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 Kinect. After the clerk got the gaming systems and put them on the counter, the man again asked for a game. As another employee grabbed the game and the clerk rang up the two systems, the man grabbed the items and -- despite demands to stop -- left the store through the garden section.
The gaming system thief is described as a black male, 22-29 years old, approximately 6'2", 225 pounds with a large build, dark complexion and black hair.
