Area where the victim let the suspect out of her vehicle.
Brooksville, FL-- A woman took a brief stop near I-10 and the Florida/Georgia Parkway when she had an unexpected guest enter her vehicle, threaten her with a knife and demand that she "drive."
It was approximately 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, and the victim was stopped at a Jefferson County McDonald's.
The man got into the back seat of her car and said he had a knife, though the victim later told officials she never saw a knife.
He demanded that she drive him south on the Florida/Georgia Parkway, eventually to US 19 then to US 98, reports say. After several hours of driving, the suspect told the victim to stop at 12:30 p.m. near Citrus Way and US 98 in Brooksville.
He reportedly got out of the car and walked into the woods, though the victim told officials the man walked with a limp, as if he was injured.
Despite the facts that the victim was unharmed and nothing was taken from her, she sought help from officials at the Florida Highway Patrol Station.
They now ask for the public's assistance in locating or identifying the suspect, and have provided the following description:
