Palm Harbor, FL-- Detectives have released a composite sketch of the suspect wanted for attacking a Palm Harbor woman back on September 26.
According to reports, the 49-year-old female victim had just finished jogging and was walking in the roadway around 8:30 p.m., when the unknown suspect grabbed her from behind, put her in a choke hold with his left arm, brought her to the ground and touched her inappropriately.
Detectives say when the victim began to scream, the suspect ran away ahead of her- only allowing her to see the back of him.
Fortunately, she was able to flag down a passing neighbor and explain what happened.
The neighbor then reportedly drove her home and began to circulate the area. He told deputies he saw the suspect running down the road and said he was able to get a look at his face.
According to reports, the suspect is a white male, approximately 22-years of age, who was last seen wearing long, light-grey cargo shorts, no shirt, and black sneakers.
Detectives ask anyone with information that may assist them in identifying the suspect to contact Detective Jeff Capra of the Robbery/Homicide Unit at 727-582-6200.
