Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib
Tampa, FL-- Bucs' head coach Greg Schiano reiterated Monday that suspended cornerback Aqib Talib will return to the team when he's eligible in three weeks.
But he didn't sound as sure as he did in his Saturday statement.
Schiano said the plan is for Talib to return for Week 10 in the game against San Diego. But then, he hesitated.
"Things change day to day, week to week, month to month," Schiano told reporters. "I can't tell you how things are going to be a month from now...I hope we've won a bunch of games in a row, that's one thing I hope...the plan is to have him back here with us."
Talib violated the NFL's substance abuse program. He admitted he took Adderall, a medication that's prescribed for patients with Attention Deficit Disorder.
Schiano also said Da'Quan Bowers will return to practice on Wednesday. Bowers suffered a torn Achilles tendon during the off-season. There's no word on when he'll be ready to play in a game.
