Men wearing school sweatshirts rob Tarpon Springs liquor store

Tarpon Springs, Florida -- Police need your help identifying a pair of armed robbers who held up a liquor store last Friday.

Tarpon Police say two black men, wearing masks, entered Liquors of Tarpon, on South Pinellas Avenue, just before 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 12, and demanded cash from the register. One of the men held a dark colored handgun.

After getting a large amount of cash, the men grabbed a bottle of vodka from before running out of the store. A witness was not able to get a good look at their getaway car.

The suspect with the gun wore a maroon Tarpon Springs High School Sponger sweatshirt.  He was about 5'1, weighing 160-170 pounds.  The clerk described him as lean and muscular.  He had pulled the hoodie up over his head, wearing a green mask beneath it.  He also had black pants and white Nike tennis shoes.

The second suspect is described as about the same height as his accomplice, but leaner, at about 140-150 pounds.  He wore a gray Ohio State sweatshirt, with knee-length snorts and a black and white mask. He was also wearing white tennis shoes.
